ABS thermoplastic material is a copolymer of acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene (the A, B, and S of its name). ABS exhibits high resistance to chemicals, heat, and impact. It also provides good strength, toughness, and stiffness. Tensile strength is typically between 6,100 and 6,500 psi.
ABS thermoplastic is known for its excellent flow characteristics, making it ideal for injection molding. This highly versatile material is used to produce everything from power tool housings and luggage to furniture components and toys.
Injection Molding with ABS
Stack Plastics has been producing high quality injection molded ABS parts and components for over 20 years. Uniform material shrinkage rates enable us to maintain precise dimensions and achieve tight tolerances, even for complex parts. We offer overmolding and other specialized molding processes utilizing ABS.
We offer a range of secondary services, including sonic welding, pad printing, and more, to give our customers more complete parts. We do more of the work so you don’t have to.
